Cheeky Mama began in my kitchen with a simple love of creating things that make people feel cared for. Over time, that love grew into a small-batch chocolate company rooted in quality, intention, and the joy of meaningful moments — whether they're shared, celebrated, or quietly savoured.

My journey with food and craft started nearly 20 years ago in 2006, when I launched Cheeky Treats – The Cupcake Boutique in Barrie, Ontario. For over 10 years, I sold cupcakes at the city's farmers' market and local flea market each weekend, building a loyal following and honing my skills in small-batch baking. That foundation led my husband and me to open Cheeky Mama Bakery & Café in Victoria Harbour, Ontario, where we served the community before semi-retiring to Madawaska. There, I continued baking — focusing on butter tarts, cakes, and cupcakes — and selling at local farmers' markets. But everything changed in the spring of 2025, when my sister and I took my first-ever trip to Paris, France. There, we enrolled in an artisanal chocolate course, and I was instantly hooked. That experience ignited a passion I didn't know I had, and I knew I had to bring this craft home with me.

Every piece of chocolate I make is thoughtfully crafted using high-quality Belgian chocolate and carefully chosen ingredients. I work in small batches so I can focus on flavour, texture, and balance — but also on beauty. Chocolate should be just as lovely to look at as it is to eat.

I'm especially drawn to creating filled chocolate bars and confections that surprise and delight — the kind that invite you to slow down, take a bite, and really enjoy the experience. From rich fillings to elegant finishes, each piece is refined with care and a close attention to detail.

Cheeky Mama Chocolate Co. is a home-based, health-unit inspected micro-bakery located in Madawaska, Ontario. I proudly create chocolates that are gift-worthy, celebration-ready, and made to be shared. Many of my pieces are chosen as wedding favours, event treats, and heartfelt gifts — and that's no accident. I believe chocolate has a beautiful way of marking life's sweetest moments.

At the heart of everything I do is a deep respect for craft, creativity, and connection. I don't rush the process, and I don't cut corners. I believe that when something is made with care, people can feel it — and that feeling matters.
